Layout: Whitley, an N-gauge exhibition layout. Text, pictures. (Peter Edmondson).
BR Wagon series: an introduction. Getting the 'Gen'. Text, pictures. (Paul W. Bartlett, British Railways Historical Study Group, Historical Model Railway Society).
Picture, in internal use in Swansea Docks is ex-LNER Bogie Bolster D No.E159439 which was built by Metro-Cammell in 1930. This is a useful record view but the lighting is rather flat and the background clutter and leaning telegraph pole are a distraction. B/W.
Picture, Associated Octal produces petrol additives and has a varied fleet of chemical tank wagons. This liquid chlorine tanker is not as antiquated as it appears — it was built in 1957 and is air-piped. It was seen at Stanlow in April 1982. B/W.
Picture, this delightful survivor is No.068623 in internal use in Cardiff Docks. It is a GWR diagram P5 ballast wagon with a pair of drop doors and a fixed centre portion. It was built about 1891. B/W.
Picture, this view of No.DM235350 was taken at Stoke in 1981. The vehicle was built at Leeds Forge in 1918 as a Warflat and became a bolster wagon on the Midland Railway. Now it is painted yellow and black, air-piped, carries TOPS code ZSR and works with a modern crane. Strong overhead light and a cluttered background spoil an interesting record. B/W.
Nurnberg Newsdesk. Details of new offerings from Continental manufacturers. Text, picures. (John Christie).
Building a layout part 23, making the signals part 2. Text, pictures, drawings. (Ray Hammond, North London Group).
Datafile: some 7mm scale posters, Southern Railway in origin, colour.
Fit for a Queen, the Great Western Railway 1897 Diamond Jubilee Royal Train in EM-gauge. Text, drawings, diagrams, pictures. All about making it. (Cliff Newell).
Datafile: Wraysbury station, Southern Railway. Text, drawings, pictures. (Chris Leigh).
Fly shunting. Text. (K.R. Lavey).
Picture, class C2X 0-6-0 No.32541 shunting the yard west of Chichester station on 17 April 1954. B/W.
Collectors Corner: the Kirdon Locomotives. Text, picture. (Pat Hammond).
Wingham Diary part 7. Text, picture, drawing of typical three-link coupling. (Deryck Featherstone).
Layout: the Dale End story continued. The OO-gauge fine scale branch line layout of the Chester MRC. Text, pictures. (Peter Cloughley).
Letter, Collectors Corner Hull and Barnsley van. (J. Rintoul, Norwich).
